Brewery

In the Eastern Cantons, Montenau and Iveldingen, located at the edge of the forest, are two neighboring villages with around 300 inhabitants each.

The residents of Montenau and Iveldingen requested activities that foster interaction between the two villages, promote local shopping, strengthen the local economy, and encourage intergenerational exchange. To meet these needs, a local grocery store, a new multipurpose hall (as the current one floods annually), and a shared green space have been proposed. These developments aim to provide essential community services and spaces for social interaction.

The multipurpose performance hall connects to the Ravel trail, while the restaurant, cheese producer, and brewery align with the street, extending the old building. These establishments are housed under one roof, creating a space for the two villages to meet and offering a resting point for both hikers and locals.

The microbrewery and cheese factory will contribute to economic development by selling their local products in the grocery store, restaurant, and bar. The microbrewery focuses on a "short circuit" from brew to glass, with a distinctive feature being the view of the brewing tanks. This setup promotes local production and strengthens the community's economic and social ties.
